Is MultiProfile legal to use?

The software is lawful to sell and to own. What you do with it is what matters: managing your own accounts, client accounts you are authorized to manage, QA and testing, ad verification, and automation you have permission to run are all legitimate. Fraud and unauthorized access are not, and they end your licence. Note that a platform forbidding multiple accounts is a matter of its contract with you, not a criminal one — but it is still your responsibility to check before you scale up.

How strong is the isolation between profiles?

Each profile is a separate browser data directory with its own proxy and fingerprint, so cookies, storage and device signals never cross over between them. That isolation happens at the browser level rather than with tab tricks, and it is what we stand behind. What a given website concludes about you is decided by that website, and no tool — ours included — can promise anonymity or a particular outcome there.

Which browsers does it launch?

Chrome and Edge installed on your machine. MultiProfile manages the profiles, proxies and launch flags; you keep using the browsers you already trust.

Do I need proxies?

Proxies are optional but recommended when you want to separate identities by IP. MultiProfile supports HTTP and SOCKS5 and binds a single proxy to each profile.

Can I automate it?

Yes. The local integration API exposes an endpoint, port and token you can call from Puppeteer, Playwright or cURL to open and control profiles programmatically.

Where is my data stored?

Browser profiles, cookies and profile settings stay on your Windows machine, encrypted at rest with Windows’ own data protection (DPAPI, via Electron safeStorage) — so proxy passwords, cookies and API tokens are never written to disk in the clear. Only your account email, email-verification status, licence and subscription status are managed online, so MultiProfile can authenticate you and enforce your plan.

How many devices can I use my licence on?

Each Solo or Pro licence activates on one Windows device at a time. Moving to a new machine? Deactivate the old device from your account page first — no need to contact support.

Which Windows versions are supported?

Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit). MultiProfile ships as an NSIS installer and a portable .exe.

Not yet — MultiProfile is Windows-only today (10 and 11, 64-bit).

Windows warns me about an unrecognised app when I install it — is that normal?

Accepted Answer

Yes, for now. Code signing is being rolled out; until then, Windows SmartScreen may show an “Unknown publisher” warning on first run. Click “More info” then “Run anyway”. The installer is exactly the one served from multiprofile.app — nothing is altered in transit.
